This week, I’ll be celebrating some special seniors on my blog. Today I am featuring Chloe Ellis, a rising senior at Fairview High School here in Boulder, Colorado. I wanted to find a way to celebrate the end of this somewhat strange school year, and honor the transition to senior status. I really feel for these students and all they are dealing with currently-and they ended up inspiring me!

Tell us what you are most excited about for your senior year! What are you looking forward to?
I’m most excited to sit in the Senior section for all of Fairview’s home football games with my friends, fully decked out in red and white! I feel like homecoming, informals, and prom are always something I look forward to, but I know Senior Year dances will top it all.
Tell us about your activities, likes, interests.
I’ve always enjoyed being active, whether that be volleyball, skiing, paddleboarding, hiking, or running around the neighborhood. A big part of my day is listening to music and spending time with my friends. But one of my favorite things that I love to do is just get in my car and see where it takes me.
What has been the most challenging thing that you have experienced during the Covid 19 pandemic? What has been the most surprising or rewarding thing?
By nature, I’m a very social person. So not being able to spend time with those I love has been a challenge. The abrupt end to my club volleyball season was also a very difficult reality to face. But, to my surprise, self-quarantine has helped me notice and appreciate the simpler moments in life.
